The Wheel of Vision has been hosted in Leicester as part of the city’s Diwali and Christmas celebrations. The wheel was of a very high quality and visually appealing; it supported in enhancing both these celebrations. The Giant Wheel has been a feature at several events at Silverstone this year, including the British Grand Prix, and is always a star attraction providing our fans with some of the best views of the circuit. I have worked with Jan de-Koning over the last few years as Jan has supplied a Big Wheel for the Great Yorkshire Show. Jan is easy to work with and communicates effectively with us, he provides a professional service and is always helpful and flexible with our requirements. The arrival of Vue, the giant observation wheel, situated October 2013 on Civic Square, was a first for Ellesmere Port. Jan has a wealth of experience in setting up the big wheel, and made complying with health & safety requirements, structural engineering assessments, and setting up and taking down arrangements look simple to me. During the operation of the big wheel, Jan de Koning and his team were a pleasure to work with and they were always available for any advice needed. De-Koning’s provided and operated a Giant Wheel on Bournemouth Seafront throughout 2017 which supported and enhanced our Seafront operations providing a fabulous attraction to visitors and residents.
